hot daddies true stories
When my dad met Will, he liked him. He likes him. Or he says he likes him, and I have to take him at his word. It's fine. My mother, who has only spoken to him over the phone and seen him in pictures I've sent, grew to like him. Or maybe she always liked him and just hated me for doing things without her consent. The thing is she likes him. Or she says she likes him. My sister kind of likes him but has no idea what to expect - because he is English, and what the fuck are they like? Aren't they a bit cold and sarcastic? -, but there's a lot of shit going on with my sister that is way too complex for this post, and I've the feeling she doesn't want to like him because I would win, yet again. In any case, my family approves. My friends like him. The ones who don't speak english wish they did, the ones who do, love him to death. And this is all very well and good, we all need approval. Or maybe you don't, but I kind of do. I'm happy they approve. I would be with him anyway if they didn't, but it's nice to know that everyone likes him. Except. Well. A friend of ours was dating a woman we did not like. During the time when he was dating her, we had her over for dinner, we went to the cinema with them, we went out, we were nice. She was a total bitch. And we were nice. He has recently broken up with her - the reasons being completely irrelevant -, and Will just asked him if there was any reason why she would maybe go to this thing we have today.
"No. Why would she go? No!"
"Oh, OK, good. Maria was worried."
"I thought you liked her!"
"Oh, no, man, but you were dating her and so."
And so if you don't see where I am going, I will just tell you: Yes, approval from my friends and my family means loads to me, but, I can see how they could all just be going along. It is the moment when complete strangers approve, when complete strangers go "you lucky bitch!" that you know you did the right thing. It is the moment when google, the ultimate stranger, lands on your boyfriend's blog with "hot daddies true stories", that you feel like going "Yeah".
