And kids swam.

It was a cold, rainy day, but we were hot and muggy under the roof.

More kids swam.

Some kids seemed not to know exactly what was expected of them.

Nikos swam.

Twice. For second place. Both times. Which, hey, well done him.

And Nikos has a swim meet. And so we're going.

I go to a Halloween thing

Everyone was in costume.

Costumes gave the grown-ups the opportunity to be flirty.

Treats were brought and shared with everyone.

Penguins melted in the heat.

There was a Sheffield United player there - oh, alright, probably not, but you could have totally believed me.

at a school thing last month

Some of the kids were excited to have their parents come and watch them perform. They had dances and songs and poems planned. It was going to be awesome.

Some others were already bored.

Hidalgo was properly honoured with a statue made from a garbage bag and some latex gloves. Sexy.

Nikos had two dances.

Will has had a couple of really hard weeks. These upcoming free days will be nice.

He's doing well. He loves the lego games on the Wii - he's currently playing Harry Potter Years 1-4. He's asked for Star Wars, but we haven't run into it, and so.

We've been playing Animal Crossing over the WiFi and we do so while on the phone. He tells me small things that he finds funny while we play. I love those moments.

Woke up super early to drive Will to school. He is going to the LA Museum of Natural History. They have this spider pavillion thing going which looks absolutely awesome. I envy him.

Well, I don't envy him the bus ride, but then, who could?

I have to make a mask for halloween, so I have to go buy some felt. Other than that, I am just planning to die a slow death at home because I can't shake this cold. It IS the very end of it, though, I can feel it. So maybe today I'll be done with it, right? Good times.
